It all started back in 1994 - my friend Daniel had a bunch of synths in his warehouse studio, and a part of the process of hooking everything up and getting everything working (in preparation, as it turned out for the series of Sunroof Remixes ) we did a number of improvising ("jam") sessions. Initially the length of the session was determined by the length of the ADAT tape we recorded onto.

After the Mute Offices at Harrow Road closed down we found the tapes (which I had sent over to Mute many years ago for transfer to hard disk) and now we have decided to release the sessions pretty much as they were. I have just mixed Abbey Street #1 (recorded October 22 1994, mixed August 23 2007) and you can download it here.

I will post a small taster soon in case you want to check it out. In the meantime enjoy the full file (100MB). Abbey Street 1 is a "minimal techno" track, roughly 130 bpm. Enjoy.
